Our films have conquered the local and international film stage, winning several awards including at Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, Zanzibar International Film Festival, Kalasha International Film Awards,  and more.

Team Members

Omar Hamza

Founder, Director

Omar is a passionate storyteller based in Nairobi. He founded Giza Visuals in 2019 and has since produced 4 feature films and numerous short films.  He has developed films and series at various programs such as Some Fine Day Pix, Red Sea Feature Film Program, Torino Film Lab, Deental and Series Mania.

His works have won multiple awards and have been screened in multiple festivals including CineKid Festival (Netherlands), Zanzibar International Film Festival, Silicon Valley African Film Festival (Los Angeles) and his latest short film Sukari is set to premiere at Pan African Film Festival (Los Angeles) in February 2025. 

Omar aims to showcase positive stories from Africa to redefine the continent’s global narrative.

June Wairegi

Creative Producer

 

June is a producer and screenwriter based in Nairobi, Kenya. She’s a film studies graduate from United States International University-Africa. She’s developed feature films at Nigeria’s iDraft Screenwriting Program and The Red Sea Feature Film Program in-conjunction with Torino Film Lab.

She’s produced for various organizations and platforms such as MNET and Docubox EADF, with one of her shorts, Sukari premiering at Pan African Film Festival (Los Angeles). She’s a short film grantee of Some Fine Day Pix 2024, set for a May 2025 release.

June is interested in telling culturally centered stories of genuine human experiences that are relatable, entertaining and artistically tasteful.
