We’re looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Assistant Editor who also serves as a DIT (Digital Imaging Technician) to support our post-production pipeline from set to screen. You’ll work closely with the Director, DP, and Lead Editor to ensure footage is safely backed up, organized, prepped, and ready for edit—helping us maintain a smooth, fast-moving workflow both on and off set.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in fast-paced creative environments and enjoys bridging production and post.
On Set (DIT Duties):
Offload, back up, and verify camera footage daily using industry-standard protocols (e.g., checksum verification)
Maintain clear, consistent folder structures and naming conventions
Create proxies or dailies for quick review/editing
Troubleshoot basic file or card issues in real-time
Communicate with the DP and production team regarding data integrity and storage
In Post (Assistant Editor Duties):
Organize and sync footage in editing software (e.g., Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve)
Assemble selects and rough timelines as needed
Prep timelines for final edit (color-coded, labeled, and sorted)
Manage assets, music, and graphics for editorial use
Assist with exports, backups, and versioning of cuts
Ensure edit projects remain organized and backed up throughout post
Solid working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro (DaVinci Resolve is a plus)
Proficiency in data wrangling software (ShotPut Pro, Hedge, or similar)
Familiarity with codecs, file formats, and transcoding workflows
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to handle multiple terabytes of footage without breaking a sweat
Good communication skills — you’ll be the go-to between set and post
Prior experience as a DIT or assistant editor on short films, features, or branded content preferred

Basic color grading skills
Light VFX or motion graphics experience (After Effects)
