Rishai is the second feature film from Omar Hamza under Giza Visuals. It’s a project that has been in the making for almost five years since the script was first written in 2016
The film stars Muhugu Theuri and Tim King’oo in the lead roles with several industry veterans like Lucarelli Onyango and Denis Ragot supporting the cast.
Principle photography of the film began in October 2020 after several delays due the pandemic. Filming was concluded in December 2020.
Rishai is an emotional film; packaged in an entertaining and uplifting story full of hope and promise.
Tim King’oo is a professional actor who has dedicated his life to the Art’s. He has taken part in a couple of notable jobs such as Nganya and the critically acclaimed Tuko Macho.
He has stage managed over 40 plays at Phoenix players and other notable production. He has produced four plays and directed three of them namely Fences by August Wilson, Kaggia by John Sibi-Okumu and Pull The Other One by Nomar Roberts.

A student of film from Kenyatta University, Muhugu Theuri is no novice when it comes to acting; both on screen and on stage.
She showcased her acting prowess on the Kalasha nominated feature film Pillow Talk as the lead actress and recently played Abuya in the acclaimed TV series Crime And Justice along Sarah Hassan and Paul Ogola.
