Omar Hamza
Partner/Creative director
Omar is a Nairobi-based filmmaker with a passion for telling heartfelt, visually compelling stories that celebrate the African spirit. His award-winning films have screened at festivals around the world, including Cinekid (Netherlands), Zanzibar International Film Festival (Tanzania), and the Silicon Valley African Film Festival (USA) and the Pan African Film Festival.
Omar is an alumnus of several prestigious international film labs and programs, including the Red Sea Lodge in Saudi Arabia, the Deental Program in France and Senegal (in partnership with Series Mania), and the Some Fine Day Pix Director’s Lab in Kenya.
Omar founded Giza Visuals in 2018 driven by the belief that African stories deserve to be told with nuance, beauty, and joy. He continues to devote his efforts to telling positive African stories that shift the global perspective of the continent.
June Wairegi
Partner/Creative producer
June is a Kenyan producer and screenwriter. Film studies graduate from United States International University. She’s produced both features and shorts, some commissioned by Docubox EADF and Some Fine Day Pix. Her films have screened both internationally and through major broadcasters like MNET. Her latest, Sayari, a romcom feature, had a theatrical release in Kenya with plans for an East African release.
As a partner at Giza Visuals, she aims to contribute to create a self-sustaining pan-African film industry, with entertaining yet soulful films that increase the global appetite for African-led stories.
Currently, she’s developing the feature film project Manjano, by Omar Hamza, picked up by many labs and market programs, such as The Red Sea Lodge.


June Wairegi

June is a Kenyan producer and screenwriter. Film studies graduate from United States International University.
